A  trail that receives Green Flag accreditation status is allocated a certificate as well as an electronic copy of the standard Green Flag Logo which can be used on all promotional material and erected on a visible place at the start of the trail as well as in the overnight accommodation (if appropriate).

• A summary of the Classification of Green Flag trails is prepared for use by the owner and the hiker who is looking for an overview of the trails.

• Auditing is done by certified personnel that have undergone a rigorous three day course after which they have to do a trail audit independently. If successful they receive a certificate of competency which is valid for two years after which they have to undergo another refresher course.
