What does the annual licence fee cover, and how much is it?

Assessors pay a USD 100 annual licence fee to maintain active status. It covers your listing in the official Assessor directory, access to GFT assessment tools and documentation, and ongoing support from the WTN team.

Will I be listed publicly as a certified Assessor?

Not yet — a public Assessor directory is in development. Until it launches, we connect trail organizations directly with accredited Assessors in their region on request.

Do I get any marketing support?

As an accredited Assessor you’re part of the official WTN network, and we refer trail organizations to you directly when they reach out for certification in your region.

Is training a one-time thing?

Initial training and licensing get you started, but GFT also offers ongoing training opportunities so you stay current with evolving standards and best practices.

Who reviews my assessment reports?

Each submitted report is reviewed and accepted by a qualified GFT trainer before certification is confirmed — an extra quality check that keeps every certification credible.

What exactly does “Stay Active” mean?

To keep your licence active, you need to assess at least one trail every 2 years. Falling below that means reactivating your status before you can assess further trails.
